Martin Stow

I have lived in Skipton and been a member of SBC for over 25 years.  I am married to Ruth and we have two grown up children, Emily and Sam, both of whom have “flown the nest’.

I am involved in several aspects of the church including co-leading a Connect Group. Together with Ruth we lead Prayer Ministry, which is available after the morning service each week.

I re-joined the church deaconate in 2022, following an earlier period of service from 2009 to 2012.

I have held various senior leadership roles over the course of my career within both multinational corporates as well as various start-up companies.  I am currently working in the Higher Education sector in a strategic leadership role helping the University of Leeds collaborate more effectively with industry and to encourage more entrepreneurial activities, to drive economic and societal impact for the region.

Throughout my career I have strongly believed that my workplace is my mission field and I feel the roles that I have undertaken have enabled God to use me, demonstrating God’s values such as love and integrity in the commercial world.
