The SBC CAP Centre
SBC’s CAP Centre has been open since 2011. Since it’s opening the Centre has enabled many people to go debt-free and given hope to many others struggling with debt and financial issues. CAP, Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in depth service.

Please check the CAP website for more information or call 01274 760720 for help.

Skipton Baptist Church also runs the 3 week CAP Money course.

This course offers practical advice on good money management skills and provides budgeting tips and overall advice on how to curtail expenditure.

Hi, I'm Ruth, the CAP Debt Centre Manager here in Skipton.  I'm married to Joel and have three fantastic children, Asha, Nathan and Eva and we have lived here for the last four years.  I am inspired by the hope and freedom debt counselling will offer to vulnerable people in our community. I spent my childhood in Cyprus, moved to London to study Anthropology at University and met Joel whilst at Uni. We started the first year of our life together travelling and teaching in India! As a family we love to travel, particularly to Cyprus; we like parties, silly games and watching films together. We all love Yorkshire!
